Your profile:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in the combustion industry, with at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong understanding of combustion principles and technologies, encompassing various burner types and combustion systems.
• Familiarity with industrial heating processes, emissions control, and combustion optimization techniques as well as safety standards.
• Experience in executing several different technical projects within time, budget, and quality requirements.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in using engineering software and tools to design and analyze combustion systems.
• Fluency in Dutch, French and English for effective communication with clients and team members. German is a plus.
• Process engineering knowledge of burner/fuel handling systems.
• Instrumentation engineering skills, including DCS engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Translate customer-specific requests into a process design, making technical calculations, and drawing up specifications for the installation and components to be used.
• Identifying and anticipating commercial opportunities to drive business growth.
• Purchasing project-relevant components and possibly outsourcing certain activities while effectively monitoring them.
• Working out quotations, basic design of specialty burner systems, combustors, and equipment.
• Providing technical support and occasionally acting as a start-up engineer or start-up engineer supervisor for projects.
• Develop technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for combustion equipment and systems.
• Basic design of firing systems, fuel handling systems, DeNOx plants, flue gas treatment, and waste heat recovery.
• Providing consultancy and marketing services for combustion-related projects.
